Our adventures today took us to Natural Bridge, VA. First we went to the drive thru safari. The kids thought it was soooooooooooo fun since they got to ride in the back of the pick up truck and feed animals. I am soooooooooooo proud to say I conquered my fears and fed the ostrich. Unfortunately the mean camel ripped the bucket from my hands. After feeding the drive thru we went to animal village. Hopes were high for the kangaroos and girafees. But they wouldn't cooperate. The highlight ended being the budgie feeding. After a picnic lunch grandma, grandpa, Nick & Zack headed back to the house stopping at a huge antique shop. Andrew, Kathy & Mikayla crossed protester lines to go to Natural Bridge Zoo. Our mission to hold a baby tiger. Our mission was even more successful because not only did we get to hold Deja who was born May 31st but we also got to feed a girafee! We were treated to a delicious bbq feast when we returned home including corn on the cob. More ping pong, and Bruce Almighty. I managed to type the blog but since no Internet no photos. Enjoy.

After a scrumptious breakfast prepared by grandpa we headed out on our adventure. Our first stop was shenandoah caverns. These caverns were amazing. We walked over a mile underground oohing and aaaahing at the beautiful natural creations. Nick was particularly intrigued with the cave bacon. We had lunch in the 1957 cafe listening to the jukebox with Elvis, Glenn Miller, etc. Next we ventured over to Main Street America. This is store front window displays from the 1950s. Next stop a mica celebration which housed full size floats from inaugarations, Rose Bowl parages, etc. After a stop at Walmart to finish our supply shopping we headed to JON BOYS bbq shack. Soooo good! Headed back to the house for a game of ping pong.

We are back on the road again. Andrew, Kathy, Nick, Mikayla, Zack, grandma and grandpa. We left on Friday, June 27. Our destination? Shenandoah Mountains. The trip down went extremely well. The funniest moment wax discussions at lunch and Mikayla announcing she would like a teacup sized everything....including a teacup great dane! We arrived at the check in place but needed to travel 5 miles into the woods and mountains to get to our house. But boy was it worth it. We have a 3 bedtoom, 2 bath. We have a rec room downstairs with an entertainment center, ping pong table, jacuzzi and sauna. On the way to the cabin we passed at least 20 deers! So quiet. Problem......no Wi fi. Which makes it difficult to download photos. I will download when able.
